RARE Blanche Richmond Salon des Chapeaux Mallory Fur Felt Ladies Hat w Feather

As shown. See all photos. Circa 1940s? Belonged to my maternal grandmother. See last photo for “the vibe,” though here she’s pictured is a different hat.

Hat is in excellent condition. You may notice a shift between first three photos and the others. That’s because it was well stored for decades in a hat box and then I had the audacity to leave it out of the box for a few months and it’s accumulated some dust and cat hair. My apologies to the hat, my grandmother and you for my faux pas. I trust it can be remedied. It’s back to in a box, but I haven’t attempted to tackle the dusting. Just want to be fully transparent.

That said, it’s a stunning piece. It seems quite rare, as I cannot find anything on Blanche Richmond or Salon des Chapeaux. The felt fur is rich and sumptuous. The feather remains beautiful. Not sure how you’ll feel about the elastic chin strap. Could probably remove or tuck up inside.
